Product Overview

The H3C WA7220 is a new-generation Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) AP independently developed by H3C Technologies Co., Ltd. It adopts a dual-band, 4-stream design with a maximum overall data rate of 3.57 Gbps. Radio 1 supports the 5 GHz band with 2 spatial streams, offering a maximum negotiated rate of 2.882 Gbps; Radio 2 supports the 2.4 GHz band with 2 spatial streams, delivering a maximum negotiated rate of 0.688 Gbps.

Powered by H3C’s new-generation Comware operating system, it enables cloud-network-edge collaboration and features innovative 4i technologies for intelligent RF management, intelligent terminal management, intelligent service assurance, and intelligent network healing. These capabilities ensure a fast, reliable wireless experience for users while enabling worry-free O&M for administrators. It is widely applicable to indoor scenarios such as meeting rooms and offices.

The H3C WA7220 supports flexible installation options, including ceiling-mount and wall-mount configurations.

Operation Modes

This all-in-one AP supports flexible mode switching to cut deployment costs and enable plug-and-play use.
  • Fit AP: Managed by Comware-based wireless controllers for centralized batch management.
  • Cloud AP: Works with H3C Cloud Solution without hardware AC or authentication servers. It supports PPSK, PSK, Portal, SMS and WeChat authentication, ideal for chain hotels and retail stores. Features include simplified deployment, hierarchical management, centralized dashboard and custom templates. Intelligent O&M monitors devices, networks and terminals to reduce costs and manpower.
  • Anchor Mode: Acts as both AC and AP for low-cost, easy deployment in small wireless networks.


Intelligent O&M

Equipped with visualized data, measurable metrics and auto-optimization capabilities to simplify maintenance. It collects abundant data via telemetry, analyzes over 150 types of online/offline and authentication failures, and evaluates terminal, device and network health. The system actively identifies, analyzes and resolves issues automatically to maintain optimal network performance.

Wired & Wireless Security

It supports 802.1X, PSK, MAC, PPPoE, Portal, WeChat and SMS authentication. Built-in WIPS delivers rogue device detection, intrusion prevention, blacklist and whitelist functions. It ensures AP legitimacy via 802.1X authentication on wired ports, and secures CAPWAP tunnels with DTLS encryption. Security linkage with H3C security platform blocks risky terminals in real time.

Air Interface & Terminal Access Optimization

RROP optimizes air interface resources by limiting management and broadcast packets. SACP controls terminal access, implements spectrum navigation, load balancing and fair scheduling to improve overall network experience.

Radio Resource & Roaming Optimization

RRM dynamically adjusts channel, bandwidth and power for stable RF performance and self-repair. It supports 802.11r/k/v for fast seamless roaming with low latency.

Probe & Diagnosis

It works as a sensor to capture Wi-Fi packets for troubleshooting. Doctor AP mode simulates terminal behaviors to locate faults accurately, cooperating with Cloudnet APP for comprehensive cloud-side analysis.

Wi-Fi 7 Key Technologies

Multi-RU enables refined spectrum allocation. MLO establishes multiple radio links simultaneously for higher efficiency and reliability.

Flexible Forwarding

It supports local forwarding to save WAN bandwidth, plus policy-based forwarding to ease egress link pressure.

IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stack

Native dual stack ensures smooth operation in IPv4 or IPv6 networks without isolation.

EAD & Chinese SSID

EAD enforces terminal security policies to isolate risky devices. It supports Chinese SSID (up to 16 Chinese characters) and mixed Chinese-English SSID for local use.
