Product Overview (Simplified Version)

The H3C S7500X-G Series are high-end multi-service routing switches by H3C, built on IRF2 virtualization technology. Fully compliant with 40GE/100GE standards, they support Non-Stop Forwarding, ISSU, Graceful Restart and ring protection, maximizing network uptime while reducing TCO.

The series includes the S7510X-G, S7506X-G/S7506X-G-MF, S7503X-G and S7503X-M-G models. All support redundant main control boards, with CLOS architecture enabling scalable switching capacity and port density (per-slot bidirectional throughput up to 2.24Tbps). They offer rich Ethernet interfaces including Gigabit, 10G, 25G, 40G and 100G ports, and are widely deployed in MAN, campus core/aggregation networks, delivering integrated security-switching and wired-wireless solutions.

Adopting IRF2 virtualization optimized for data centers, the S7500X-G supports multi-device collaborative operation, unified management and non-stop maintenance. It delivers high reliability and seamless upgrade/expansion for enterprise networks, and supports long-distance 80km 10GE fiber stacking for flexible networking deployment.

High-performance IPv4/IPv6 Capabilities

It supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, diverse tunnel and multicast technologies to provide complete dual-stack solutions. The distributed architecture wire-speed non-blocking forwarding for all services. With official IPv6 certification, it is a fully mature commercial IPv6 switching platform.

Integrated Wired and Wireless Networking

Built-in wireless control modules deliver refined user management, complete RF control, security mechanisms, fast roaming, high-performance QoS and full IPv6 support. Cooperating with security servers, it realizes endpoint access defense to enhance overall network security. AC-embedded chip design enables flexible deployment of integrated wired-wireless networks.

EAD Endpoint Access Defense

Equipped with high-capacity Portal authentication, it acts as an EAD gateway for large-scale LAN access security authentication. It can serve as core/aggregation devices in campus networks and provide Portal-based authentication and billing for user access areas.

BYOD-oriented Network Architecture

Supporting multiple access authentication modes, it serves as an authentication gateway for large user groups. It provides solid basic architecture for BYOD scenarios, supporting mobile ERP, OA, UC&C and other mobile office applications.

Three-plane Security Mechanism

It achieves comprehensive security coverage on control, management and forwarding planes. The control plane defends against TCN, ARP and other protocol attacks, and adopts MD5 authentication for OSPF/BGP/IS-IS to avoid network breakdown caused by illegal route updates. The management plane ensures secure device management via SNMPv3, SSH V2, 802.1x/AAA/Radius authentication and hierarchical permission management. The forwarding plane supports fine-grained binding of IP, VLAN, MAC and ports, uRPF anti-spoofing and per-packet longest-match forwarding to resist virus and illegal traffic attacks.

Enhanced ACL Features

It supports standard and extended ACLs, VLAN-based ACLs, as well as inbound and outbound bidirectional ACLs, optimizing resource usage and meeting strict access control requirements for finance and other high-security industries.

Carrier-grade High Reliability for Stable Service Operation

Carrier-grade Reliability Design

Featuring zero single-point failure design, all key components including main control boards, power supplies and fans support redundancy. The passive backplane and full hot-swappable modules ensure long-term stable operation in harsh environments, reaching 99.999% carrier-grade reliability.

Multi-service High Reliability

It supports non-stop forwarding and graceful restart with millisecond-level switchover, plus ECMP load balancing and link redundancy. RRPP and Smart-Link protocols ensure fast failover for ring and dual-uplink topologies. The distributed maintenance engine enables intelligent power management, online device inspection and sequential board power on/off, reducing power impact, radiation and power consumption while extending device service life.

IRF2-based High Availability

IRF2 virtualizes multiple physical devices into one logical device for unified management and flexible capacity expansion. Cross-device redundancy improves system reliability and achieves millisecond-level link convergence. Hardware-based OAM enables rapid link fault detection.

Highly Available M-LAG Architecture

It supports M-LAG (optimized from DRNI) cross-device link aggregation, virtualizing two devices at the forwarding layer while retaining independent control planes, upgrading reliability from single-board level to device level.

Integrated Access & Aggregation Design for Cost Reduction

The integrated OLT with Layer 3 switching function reduces equipment procurement, interconnection and maintenance costs. The distributed architecture eliminates traditional centralized processing bottlenecks and ensures wire-speed IPv4/IPv6 forwarding. With dual redundant main control boards, redundant power/fan modules, passive backplane and full hot-swappable components, it greatly lowers failure rate and OPEX. It supports up to 240 10GEPON/XGSPON ports with a maximum 1:128 optical splitting ratio.
