Product Overview

The H3C S3600V2 Series is an intelligent IRF Ethernet switch built on H3C’s upgraded hardware & software platform. Adopting innovative IRF2 stacking technology, it delivers outstanding reliability, multi-service integration and simplified O&M. It supports dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 with hardware forwarding, diversified IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols and tunneling functions.

Ideal as aggregation & access switches for office, service and resident networks, as well as core switches for SMEs and branch offices.

The H3C S3600V2 switches come in SI and EI versions.The SI edition supports advanced QoS, ACL, IPv6 and basic Layer 3 routing (Static / RIP).The EI edition features full enterprise functions including hardware-based IPv4/IPv6 routing and multicast routing.

The switches support hardware-based IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, various IPv6-over-IPv4 tunnels and wire-speed Layer 3 forwarding to facilitate smooth migration from IPv4 to IPv6 networks. It runs complete IPv6 routing protocols including RIPng, OSPFv3, ISISv6 and BGP4+, plus NDP and Path MTU Discovery for optimized transmission efficiency.

IRF2 Intelligent Resilient Framework

IRF2 virtualizes multiple physical switches into one logical device:

Simplified management: Configure the whole stack via any single access port.
Simplified service: Unified protocol calculation replaces spanning tree with cross-device link aggregation for fast convergence.
