Product Overview
The Cisco Nexus® 9300-FX Series Switches are part of the non-modular Cisco Nexus 9000 platform based on Cisco Cloud Scale technology. The platform enables cloud-scale deployment in a cost-effective manner, supporting more endpoints and providing cloud services with wire-speed security and telemetry. Built on modern system architectures, the platform is designed to deliver high performance and meet the changing needs of highly scalable data centers and growing enterprises.
The Cisco Nexus 9300-FX Series Switches offer a variety of interface options to transparently migrate existing data centers from 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 10 Gbps to 25 Gbps on servers, and from 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps to 50 Gbps and 100 Gbps at the aggregation layer. These platforms provide customers with investment protection with large buffers, highly flexible Layer 2 and Layer 3 scalability, and high performance to meet the changing needs of virtual data centers and automated cloud environments.
Cisco offers two modes of operation for Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches. Organizations can deploy switches in a standard Cisco Nexus switch environment (NX-OS mode) using Cisco NX-OS software. Organizations can also deploy infrastructure that supports the Cisco Application-Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI™) platform, taking advantage of an automated, policy-based approach to systems management (ACI model).
