4K Random Reads: All NFS configurations peaked at 89.5K–90.9K IOPS with low latency, leveraging ZFS ARC caching for consistent performance. iSCSI maxed out at 40.4K IOPS, nearly half NFS throughput.
4K Random Writes: Async NFS hit 9.6K–10.1K IOPS (cache-aided), while synchronous NFS collapsed to hundreds of IOPS due to no dedicated ZFS write log (SLOG). Cached iSCSI writes reached 15.2K IOPS, a substantial improvement over bare-metal 4.5K IOPS.

Conclusion
